Representation

As an independent body upholding the principles that guarantee the protection of authors and thus the development of creation, ALAI is officially recognised as an authority.

It is regularly invited to and represented by eminent members at international meetings on copyright, for example, within the European Union institutions.

Having close contacts with WIPO and UNESCO, the Association is often asked to express its opinion on projects being developed by these organisations as well as on the evolution of the Berne Convention and the Universal Copyright Convention.
