Organization
ALAI brings together some the most distinguished copyright theoreticians, creators and practitioners who represent the interests of authors or their partners. The Association is also composed of magistrates and senior officials who, in their scope of work, deal with problems related to literary and artistic copyright.
The ALAI represents numerous countries. If a state has over seven individual members, the Association will recommend the creation of a national group which broadens the scope of ALAI through works relating to internal problems.
ALAI is administered by an Executive Committee composed of representatives from national groups as well as individual members. The Executive Committee's decisions are carried out by a board composed of a President, four Vice-Presidents representing different nations, a Secretary-General and a Treasurer.
The ALAI members hold a General Assembly for congresses and study days.
